Certificate of Lawfulness appeal hearing update.

The Planning Inspector has now heard the submissions and arguments of four barristers over a 2 day period and has visited the Crouchland Biogas site. She will come to her decision regarding this Certificate of Lawfulness appeal within the next two months.

The community are extremely grateful to all those who spoke on our behalf - and to those involved in the support logistics. The Parish Councils deserve our sincere thanks, as do all those who work doggedly behind the scenes to protect our wonderful countryside 'on the road to nowhere.'

PORE felt that the hearing went well, but do not feel it is appropriate to say anything further here.

After Mr Mekitarian explained that the separator had been on site in its current location for many years and therefore did not need planning permission, he was asked which bits of it were original and which were newly built. After giving his answer, the Planning Inspector then suggested it was rather like 'Trigger's Broom'....which you can see below!
