Crouchland apply for a different Permit from the Environment Agency

An application from Crouchland Biogas Ltd has been submitted to the Environment Agency and published on 4th March; - 'To vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2010, INVOLVING SUBSTANTIAL CHANGE to a permit.'

This is another application that PORE and the Parish Councils will wade through - and certainly make comment upon before the April 4th submission date. We are well aware of the many breaches to their current 'Standard Rules Permit'; the Enforcement Notices that the EA served last July and the significant pollution caused to our village last summer. On top of this there is the complex issue of the huge lagoons which do not benefit from planning permission and which have been at bursting levels.

We would encourage the public to also make comments and we hope to give you more information shortly.
