Major digestate spill and pollution today

The Environment Agency spent the whole day at Crouchland Biogas today after thousands of tonnes of digestate surged from a lagoon, causing widespread pollution.

Crouchland have tried to dam the stream at Foxbridge Lane to prevent the pollution reaching Ifold.

The neighbouring Plaistow farmer has had to move his livestock off 50 acres of his fields and his stream will have to dug and cleared of the pollution.

Please see the photo below of the dam being constructed last night.

Thank goodness that Enforcement will hopefully occur at today's meeting in Chichester.
