Crouchland Biogas refused planning permission.

After a three hour debate by councillors, a motion was carried to refuse permission for the development - contrary to a recommendation from officers to approve the plans.

Enforcement action will follow, the details of which will be agreed at the next meeting of the county council planning committee.

The application was refused on the grounds of (summarised from memory)

1. Highway safety

2.Inappropriate location

3.Unacceptable impact on the local community

4.Adverse impact on the rural aspect of the area.

Huge thanks to all our supporters. Much left to do as the legal position needs to be resolved which impacts the 'fall-back position'.

Please be vigilant about HGVs, which may now increase and travel new routes as they consider that they now have unrestricted permissions. Report any dangerous driving to the police.
