Crouchland close a public footpath without permission to do so.

Two months ago a trench was cut through the roots of mature oak trees, adjacent to a public footpath on Crouchland Farm land. After residents reported the trench danger to HSE, Crouchland were asked to tape off the area to keep the public safe. Crouchland Farm failed to tell HSE that this was actually a public footpath. Crouchland have now excluded the public as seen in the photo below.

They have no permission from WSCC’s Public Rights of Way Team to close this footpath. The Team are aware and are awaiting a response form the landowner before deciding on the next course of action.
